It’s time for the third of the Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery Quilt Along. Each month, participants receive a package of fabric and a quilt pattern for the block of the month from Fat Quarter Shop. Each month’s block is designed by a different quilter in the industry. This month is the Jasmine quilt block designed by Jackie MacDonald the designer behind Sweetfire Road.

This year’s Designer Mystery quilt features the Sunnyside fabric collection by Camille Roskelley. The fabric collection is so pretty and coordinates well with several other recent collections by Camille.
Designer Mystery Month 3 – The Jasmine Block
Extra Quilt Blocks
The amount of extra fabric was generous again this month (as always with Fat Quarter Shop kits) and the dedicated Designer Mystery Facebook page has cutting instructions for a 6″ and 3″ block as well. So far I’ve been able to make both of the extra sizes and STILL have extra fabric every month. This will make for some cute smaller projects. I love the challenge of the 3.5″ blocks.
The finishing kit for the large quilt was also shipped this month with the special box. I will be starting the finishing pieces soon. It’s a lot of flying geese blocks, so I will probably be doing the Quilt in a Day 4 at a time flying geese method with the special ruler. It also has double flying geese blocks which look interesting. Stay tuned for my progress on the finishing blocks.

Happy Quilting!
