Welcome!

I’m Nicole

I’m an avid quilter, fabric enthusiast, part-time cross stitcher, Disney fan, RunDisney lover, and full-time wife and mom.

I began sewing over 20 years ago, just after getting married. What started with simple curtains and reupholstered hand-me-down chairs quickly grew into a love for quilting. Over the years, quilting became a hobby I would pick up and put down depending on the season of life. A couple of years ago, I realized I was always waiting for a “reason” to make a quilt. After some soul-searching, I gave myself permission to quilt simply because I loved it—not just for utilitarian purposes.

That shift changed everything. Suddenly, I was making quilts and small projects freely, and I fell in love with quilting all over again. In 2020, I purchased a longarm so I could complete every step of the quilt-making process myself. From piecing to quilting to binding, each finish truly feels like my own work from start to finish.

Since then, I’ve been challenging myself to grow as a quilter—improving precision, learning new techniques, and exploring creative projects. I created this blog as both a journal of my quilts and a welcoming space for other quilters, whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been sewing for decades.

Welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s make something beautiful together.

Behind the blog

How it all started

My quilting journey began over two decades ago, but this blog grew out of a new season of rediscovering my love for quilting. I realized I didn’t need a ‘reason’ to make a quilt—I could create simply because I loved it. Treeline Quilting was born from that discovery: a place to celebrate finished quilts, explore new techniques, and invite others to be inspired along the way.

Now, I’m excited to expand beyond blogging—sharing quilt products through a shopping page and working toward opening a brick-and-mortar quilt shop. This space is just the beginning of a much bigger quilting adventure, and I’m so glad you’re here to join me on the journey.

FAQ

I’ve been sewing since about 2001. My grandmother wasn’t a quilter, but she was amazing at making doll clothes. I was always amazed at her ability to sew the tiniest things. I started by hand sewing a pillow for her when she was going through cancer treatments with Raggedy Ann fabric. After I got married, I purchased a sewing machine to make things for our home like cafe curtains and decor. My mother in law was a quilter and that’s what introduced me to the craft.

There are so many! Lella Boutique, Camille Roskelley, Tula Pink (especially for bags!), Tilda, Joanna Figueroa. Special shout out to Art East Quilting Co. for patterns. LOVE THEM!

I started the blog in 2023 as a way to share what I was working on. When my kids grew up and my homeschooling stint came to an end, I was looking for something to fill my time. Since I was quilting a whole lot more, I decided to share the projects I was working on with the world.

I’m on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and have an email list. Join me by clicking one of the social buttons at the top or bottom of the page!
