I started my sewing journey 21 years ago shortly after I got married. What started with little curtains and reupholstering hand me down chairs, quickly shifted to quilting.
It was a hobby I picked up and put down during different seasons of life, but a couple years ago, I discovered that I was always making sure I had a reason to make a quilt before I would allow myself to do so. I did a lot of soul searching and gave myself permission to quilt just because I loved it. Not just for utilitarian reasons.
This discovery quickly moved into numerous quilts and smaller projects. I fell in love all over again. In 2020 I purchased a long arm so that I could do all the steps of quilt making myself. From start to finish, the product of my labors are all mine.
I’ve spent the last couple years improving my craft. Getting more precise with my piecing and learning new techniques. I wanted a place to share my projects with the world as well as a cozy place to invite other quilters to learn whether they’ve been quilting for years or are venturing into a completely new hobby.
