Welcome to my Sunday Summary 2. I will share the progress I’ve made in the past week on everything I did in my sewing studio.

Our woods is turning greener by the day. And it’s a new month of projects new and old.
Quilting
Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along
It’s week 6 for the Triangles on a Roll quilt along with Fat Quarter Shop. This week was 4 Ribbon Star Blocks. The fabric collection is Folktale by Lella Boutique. Just one more week for the finishing of this quilt. I’m looking forward to seeing this one as a completed quilt.
Summer Memories Quilt Along
May also brings the start of the Summer Memories Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop and Susan Ache. The Summer Memories book by Susan Ache contains patterns for 6 quilts and 11 cross stitches. The quilt along is the Summer Picnic Quilt. It is made up of different basket blocks. I made my assembly easier by using Triangles on a Roll paper.
I didn’t have enough red, white, and blue scraps to make the full quilt, so instead I am using a fat quarter bundle of Flower Pot by Lella Boutique along with some extra yardage for back grounds and the border.
Each week the Quilt Along calls for making two blocks, but since the pattern called for 3 of the first basket block, I went ahead and made three blocks.
Other Finishes
This week I was able to finish the Shooting Stars top from an old Sew Sampler. I also have the Mon Cheri top from a past Sew Sampler finished.
Both of these tops will hopefully be finished on the long arm this week and the binding will get finished to get these completed.
Backings and Bindings
Speaking of backings and bindings, I usually piece these at the last possible minute. Since I have two tops ready to be quilted and two more nearly finished, I took some time to piece the 4 backings and make the bindings for all of them so they are ready to go as soon as I have time to get them on the long arm.
Sunday Summary 2 Cross Stitch
Since it’s May, that means it’s time to get started on my Stitch Maynia! I talked about what my Maynia plans are in last week’s post. I was able to work on three of the five stitches I have planned for the month.
Hive Rules by Primrose Cottage Stitches (1 day)
Star Spangled Street by Primrose Cottage Stitches (3 days)
Cherry Season from the Summer Memories book by Susan Ache
Next week I have several long arming projects to do, more stitching for Maynia, week 7 for Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along, and week 2 for Summer Memories Quilt Along.
I’m also hoping to start using that yummy Fruit Salad fabric from Fig Tree that I starched last week to use with the Fruit Cocktail book.
Happy stitching!
