It’s been a busy week around here. Unfortunately, a lot of the busy took place outside of my sewing room!
I was able to get a few things done though. So here’s my week in review.
Quilting
Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along
It’s the final week of the Fat Quarter Shop‘s Triangles on a Roll Quilt Along. This week was the finishing parts and putting all the beautiful blocks together.

Summer Memories Quilt Along
This week is the second week of the Summer Memories Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop and Susan Ache. Each week calls for making two blocks from the Summer Picnic Quilt pattern in the Summer Memories book. I made two out of the four Block 2’s that we will need for the finished quilt.

Long Arming
This was the week of the long arming quilts. Last week I made a bunch of my backings and bindings for quilts that were done or nearly done in hopes it would make this week go a little smoother. And boy did it!
The first quilt to be quilted was the Mon Cherí quilt from an old Sew Sampler box.

The next quilt to be loaded onto the Handi Quilter was the Shooting Stars quilt, which was also from an old Sew Sampler box.

The final quilt I got fully finished this week was the Triangles on a Roll Quilt from the quilt along discussed above. This quilt was a lot larger than the other two and unfortunately didn’t realize I was having a tension issue on the back on the second and third row of stitching (**crying**). I had to unload the quilt in the middle of the long arming and rip out a LOT of stitches. On the sharper curves I was getting a lot of eye lashing on the back of the quilt. Once I started again, I adjusted my top thread tension quite a bit and slowed down the machine and that fixed the problem.

Cross Stitching
Stitch Maynia Progress
Here are some quick pictures to show the progress I’ve made on my Stitch Maynia projects. I was able to get quite a bit done this week.

I’m not sure how much sewing I will get this done in the coming week, but I’m really hoping I will have time to get some stitching done in between other adulting. Have a blessed week my friends!
