Morning Latte by Sandy Gervais — A Cozy Start to the Season
This spring, I had the pleasure of attending the H&H Americas trade show in Chicago — and one of the highlights of my trip was stopping by Sandy Gervais’s booth. Sandy is the creative force behind Pieces From My Heart, and she was every bit as warm and joyful as her fabrics. We chatted about her upcoming lines, and it was clear that she truly loves what she does. Her enthusiasm for designing and quilting is infectious — the kind that makes you want to go home and start cutting fabric right away!

When I saw Morning Latte by Sandy Gervais, I was instantly drawn in. The palette is cozy and comforting — like your first cup of coffee on a crisp fall morning. The mix of creamy taupes, warm caramels, and soft greens gives it such a calm, home-sweet-home feel. The collection officially released in October, and it pairs beautifully with Sandy’s next line, Love You Always, which arrives in November. Together they feel like a natural extension of one another — timeless, heartfelt, and full of charm.
I loved this fabric so much that I couldn’t resist kitting up several of Sandy’s patterns designed specifically for the collection. All three patterns are from her Pieces From My Heart pattern company, and each one shows off Morning Latte’s colors and prints in a unique way:
Morning Song Quilt
The Morning Song pattern features a delightful mix of bird and star blocks, arranged in a balanced, airy layout. It finishes at 72″ × 72″, a generous throw-size quilt that’s perfect for snuggling under with your favorite mug in hand.
Mug Collection Quilt
This one might be my favorite — a nine-patch of mugs, each featuring its own miniature quilt block on the side. It’s such a creative and whimsical design! The Mug Collection quilt finishes at 34″ square, making it a great wall hanging or table topper for your coffee corner.
Morning Latte Runner
The Morning Latte runner captures everything I love about Sandy’s storytelling through fabric — rows of coffee carafes with sweet little birds perched on top, surrounded by cheerful mugs through the center. It finishes at 17″ × 64 ¼”, just right for dressing up your dining table or sideboard.
