Shine Bright Quilt Along Details
This fun quilt along is happening from November 2023 to October 2024. They’ve revamped the old Shine On Sampler Quilt that was originally published in The Bonnie & Camille Quilt Bee book with the new Lighthearted fabric collection by Camille Roskelley. This new coloring of an old quilt pattern creates a refreshing twist. The quilt will be a big one, with 29 blocks and a generous size of 68.5″ x 80.5″. Month 7 is the Flutter block, the Friendship Star, The Good Times Block, and the Happy Day quilt block.

Shine Bright Month 10 Blocks:
Starburst Quilt Block
The two color Starburst block is another block that looks complex, but in reality is made of squares, sew and flip corners, and half square triangle units.
Summer Block
This block is also another of my favorites from the quilt. The Summer Block is made with a 16 patch center block and hourglass units to make the star points.
Sunshine Quilt Block
Last but not least for the main quilt blocks is the Sunshine Block. This block wraps up all of the sampler blocks for the Shine Bright Sampler Quilt Along. It is made with several flying geese units and regular square/rectangle piecing.
Shine Bright Sampler Month 11: A wrap up
That’s a wrap on the Shine Bright Sampler Month 11 quilt blocks. These are the final blocks for the sampler quilt!
Shine Bright Sampler Finishing Blocks
For the final quilt, there are a few finishing filler blocks needed. Three strips of flying geese units and a strip of 2.5″ squares were a snap to put together with the small pieces I had left over.
It’s time to assemble the final Shine Bright Sampler quilt! I have all of my blocks ready to go! Next month I will be sharing my completely finished quilt!
I do want to take a minute to mention how wonderful the Fat Quarter Shop kits are. If the kit is cut in house at Fat Quarter Shop, they are so generous with their fabric. If you make a mistake while cutting, you should have enough to recut. Often times, there are enough scraps to make another project. I look forward to finding something to make with the large amount of extra fabric I have from this quilt along.
Can’t wait to see the final quilt next month, happy quilting!
