The Sweet Dreams Block
The dragonfly design comes together using sew-and-flip corners and some creative piecing that gives it a charming, whimsical look. Each section was fun to assemble—especially the wings! The shape is instantly recognizable and adds a playful touch to the final quilt layout.

After finishing the block, I added it to the quilt’s house setting and completed the final row assembly. The dragonfly feels like a sweet little signature at the end of this project—light, delicate, and full of personality.
Tips for Month 12’s Block
- Use a small stitch length when sewing and flipping corners to keep your points crisp.
- Press seams open or carefully nested to keep the dragonfly shape defined.
- Lay out all pieces before sewing so the placement stays accurate.
- Don’t worry if some corners feel fiddly—this block is all about charm and creativity, not perfection.
