Winnie the Pooh Quilt – Two Finished Quilts and a Perfect Ending

Sharing is caring!

After many months of piecing, pressing, and stitching, my Winnie the Pooh quilts are officially finished! This has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever made, and I couldn’t love these quilts more. The entire 100 Acre Wood Quilt Along has been such a joy — from the first block of Pooh Bear floating with his balloon to the final assembly of clouds and bees.

The 90″ x 90″ Winnie the Pooh Quilt – A Cozy Finish with Echo Park Fabrics

For the larger of the two quilts, I used the Echo Park Winnie the Pooh fabric collection for my backing. Since this version finished at a generous 90″ x 90″, I pieced the back using a beautiful green map print running down each side and a cream version of the map print through the center. It gives the quilt a classic, storybook look that ties perfectly with the blocks on the front. I finished the quilt with the Honeycomb Swirl pantograph available from The Quilting Mill. It is the perfect touch of whimsy with a nod to the honeybee motif.

I also added one of my favorite quilt labels from the Sweetwater Fabric Subscription Club to personalize the back. For the binding, I used the yellow gingham print that originally came with my 100 Acre Wood quilt kit, which frames the quilt beautifully and ties in the warm tones from Winnie the Pooh himself.

This Winnie the Pooh quilt will be perfect in my guest bedroom — a cozy, cheerful space I’m setting up for when my future grandbabies come to visit. It feels like such a special heirloom piece, made even sweeter by all the time and love stitched into it.

👉 You can find this same 100 Acre Wood quilt kit available in my online shop here. It comes in a beautifully designed project box that matches the quilt itself — perfect for storing your pieces while you sew or gifting to another quilter who loves Pooh Bear as much as I do! As a celebration, I’ve also put the kit on sale for a limited time!

The 70″ x 70″ Winnie the Pooh Quilt – Finished with Minky Magic

The smaller Winnie the Pooh quilt version finishes at 70″ x 70″ and is the perfect throw-size quilt for curling up on the couch. For the backing, I used the Classic Winnie Minky fabric from Studio E Fabrics, which has the softest texture and sweetest print.

Since Minky typically comes 60″ wide, I used a 60″ x 60″ map print for the quilt’s center and added borders around the edges using the multi-color tossed character print on white. It turned out beautifully! I bound this version using the same blue fabric from the quilt’s front, which helped tie everything together with a clean, cohesive finish. Minky is best with a looser longarm pantograph. So for the second quilt I chose to use a pantograph called Curly e2e.

This Winnie the Pooh quilt will stay right here in my sewing room as my personal throw — soft, cozy, and full of memories from each block I made along the way.

A Winnie the Pooh Quilt Kit Worth Making Twice

One of my favorite things about this project is that I was able to make two full quilts from one kit by adding extra background fabric and a few extra fat quarters. The 100 Acre Wood quilt kit from Riley Blake Designs includes generous fabric cuts, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The character blocks are so well designed by Art East Quilting Co., and the end result is a quilt that’s both whimsical and timeless.

I loved this kit so much that I wanted to offer it to my own readers — it’s truly one of those projects you’ll remember long after the last stitch is done. The kits I have available in my shop come in a beautifully designed project box that perfectly matches the look and feel of the finished Winnie the Pooh quilt.

👉 You can order your 100 Acre Wood quilt kit here in my shop and start your own journey through the Hundred Acre Wood! Whether you make the 70″ x 70″ version or the larger 90″ x 90″ layout, you’ll fall in love with every character and detail along the way.

Wrapping Up My Winnie the Pooh Quilting Adventure

Finishing both of these Winnie the Pooh quilts feels like closing a beautiful storybook. Each block captures the charm and friendship of the Hundred Acre Wood — Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga, Roo, and Christopher Robin all stitched together in fabric form.

These quilts remind me why I love quilting so much — the creativity, the storytelling, and the joy of making something meaningful by hand. If you’ve been thinking about starting your own Winnie the Pooh quilt, I can’t recommend this kit enough. It’s fun, rewarding, and full of nostalgic charm — everything a quilt project should be.
