Christopher Robin Quilt Block – Final Character in the 100 Acre Wood Quilt Along

Sharing is caring!

The Christopher Robin quilt block is the final character addition to my 100 Acre Wood quilt along, and it couldn’t be more heartwarming. This sweet scene features Christopher Robin in yellow rain boots, holding a striped umbrella to shield Piglet from the rain. One of my favorite parts of this block is how it incorporates the previously made Piglet quilt block, turning two designs into one beautifully unified moment in my Winnie the Pooh quilt.

About the Christopher Robin Quilt Block

The Christopher Robin quilt block captures a quiet, protective moment between Christopher Robin and Piglet. Dressed in bright yellow rain boots, Christopher Robin stands tall, holding a striped umbrella over Piglet, who’s tucked neatly beneath it. To make this block, I sewed the previously pieced Piglet quilt block directly into the larger Christopher Robin layout.

To the left of Christopher Robin, there’s a bright red hunny pot and a friendly little bee buzzing nearby. I embroidered the word “Hunny” on the pot, which adds an extra layer of charm and handmade detail. I love all of the little details that were designed into this quilt. It really does make it such a masterpiece.

My Process Piecing the Christopher Robin Quilt Block

Piecing the Christopher Robin quilt block was a meaningful way to bring together elements from earlier in the quilt along. Since I had already finished the Piglet quilt block, I made sure my seam allowances were accurate so it would fit smoothly into the larger layout. The umbrella, boots, and hunny pot sections included a few smaller pieces, but the pattern from Art East Quilting Co. made everything manageable.

I stitched the word “Hunny” on the pot to give it a whimsical, true to Pooh touch. Like with the other blocks, I saved my embroidery details until the end so I could focus on getting all of the piecing finished first.

Wrapping Up with Christopher Robin

Finishing the Christopher Robin quilt block was the perfect way to wrap up the character portion of my 100 Acre Wood quilt. This block feels like a gentle closing chapter to the quilt story, with Christopher Robin watching over his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. It’s one of those designs that really makes the whole quilt feel complete.

Now that all of the characters are pieced, I’m excited to move on to assembling the quilt tops. Although I’ve had to buy some extra bits of fabric here and there, I am thrilled to be able to have two finished quilts from this kit. The extra background fabric was the largest expense, but it also enabled me to use up the leftovers from each block in an efficient way. It’s been such a joy sewing along each month and watching these sweet scenes come together. The 100 Acre Wood quilt along has been a highlight of my quilting year, and I’m so proud of how this Winnie the Pooh quilt is coming together.
