Welcome to the progress update on my Shine Bright Sampler Quilt Along month 8 blocks . This quilt along is being hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. This month adds 3 more quilt blocks to our collection for the final sampler quilt.

Shine Bright Quilt Along Details
This fun quilt along is happening from November 2023 to October 2024. They’ve revamped the old Shine On Sampler Quilt that was originally published in The Bonnie & Camille Quilt Bee book with the new Lighthearted fabric collection by Camille Roskelley. This new coloring of an old quilt pattern creates a refreshing twist. The quilt will be a big one, with 29 blocks and a generous size of 68.5″ x 80.5″. Month 7 is the Flutter block, the Friendship Star, The Good Times Block, and the Happy Day quilt block.

Shine Bright Month 8 Blocks:
Home Again
This large house quilt block is so quaint with its chimneys and front bushes. The block is made with all basic quilt block techniques such as simple piecing and sew and flip corners.
Lighthearted Block
This quilt wouldn’t be complete without a heart block. This one is called the Lighthearted block which is appropriate since the fabric collection is also named Lighthearted. With simple strip piecing and sew and flip corners, these heart blocks are a cinch to whip up.
Neighborhood Block
The final block for this month is the Neighborhood block. This block has a unique color placement to give it a different look. It was made with sew and flip corners and half square triangle units. I really love this block and think a whole quilt of the Neighborhood block would be quite remarkable. It would make a great scrap project as well.
