It’s time to share my Shine Bright Sampler Quilt Along month 7. This quilt along is being hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. There are a lot of blocks for this month’s quilt along, so let’s dive right in!

Shine Bright Quilt Along Details
This fun quilt along is happening from November 2023 to October 2024. They’ve revamped the old Shine On Sampler Quilt that was originally published in The Bonnie & Camille Quilt Bee book with the new Lighthearted fabric collection by Camille Roskelley. This new coloring of an old quilt pattern creates a refreshing twist. The quilt will be a big one, with 29 blocks and a generous size of 68.5″ x 80.5″. Month 7 is the Flutter block, the Friendship Star, The Good Times Block, and the Happy Day quilt block.

Shine Bright Month 7 Block Creation Process:
Flutter
The Flutter block is a simple block made of half square triangles and some rectangle pieces. Using the two at a time method, I made 8 half square triangles. The center is arranged in a pinwheel layout and then off set with half square triangle corners.
Friendship Star Block
The Friendship Star block is similar in construction made with 4 half square triangle units and 5 squares. This block comes together quickly using the two at a time method to construct the half square triangles and trimming them down to the perfect size.
Good Times Block
The largest block this month is the Good Times quilt block. Made with 64 half square triangles arranged in a distinct color way, this block impresses with its simplicity.
Happy Day Block
The final quilt block for the Shine Bright Sampler Month 7 is the adorable Happy Day Block. This block uses coordinating pink fabrics in square units and half square triangle units to depict a round shape in the center of the block.
Shine Bright Sampler Month 7: A wrap up
That’s a wrap on the Shine Bright Sampler Month 7 quilt blocks. There were a lot of blocks to construct this month, but they were relatively simple with just squares and half square triangle units in various arrangements to complete the quilt blocks. There are so many quilts and projects in The Bonnie & Camille Quilt Bee book that are confident beginner friendly. I highly recommend this book for its many beautiful quilt projects.
